Test Modules
The IELTS exam consists of four main parts Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking section.
Listening
This section contains 40 questions in 4 sections. The question type includes multiple choice, matching, plan/map/diagram labeling, form completion, note completion, table completion, flow-chart completion, summary completion, sentence completion, short-answer questions. The time limit for completing this section is 30 minutes.
Reading
This section contains 40 questions in 3 sections. The question type includes multiple choice, identifying information (True/False/Not Given), identifying writer’s views/claims (Yes/No/Not Given), matching information, matching headings, matching features, matching sentence endings, sentence completion, summary completion, note completion, table completion, flowchart completion, diagram label completion, short-answer questions. The time limit for completing this section is 60 minutes.
Writing
This section contains 2 tasks - 150 & 250 words. The time limit for completing this section is 60 minutes.
Speaking
This section contains 3 sections - Introduction and interview, Individual long turn & Two-way discussion. The time limit for completing this section is between 11 - 15 minutes.
